ArubaEvento ("we", "us", or "our") is an event discovery platform for Aruba. Event organizers create an account, are reviewed for approval, and then publish and manage events; anyone can browse and search those events without an account. This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle and how, when you use our website at arubaevento.com (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

• Account information: an email address, and a password if you create one, to identify and secure your account, together with the organizer details you provide, such as a name, contact email, phone number, and optional website, Instagram handle and Facebook page. If you send us a message from one of those accounts to verify your application, we use it only for that purpose.
• Sign-in with a third-party provider: if you choose to sign in using another service, such as Google, that provider tells us your name, email address, profile picture, and a unique identifier for your account with them, so that we can create or recognise your account. We never receive your password for that service, and we have no access to your account there — including your email, contacts, or files. Your use of that provider is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
• Event content: the details you choose to publish. Event content you publish is public.
• Usage data: basic technical information collected automatically when you use the Service.

Browsing events does not require an account.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage organizer accounts and review applications.
• To publish and display the events you create.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service.
• To communicate with you about your account or the Service.
• To prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access.

3. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide core website functionality, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. We do not use them for advertising. If you sign in through another service, that provider may also set cookies as part of signing you in. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.

We also measure how the Service is used so we can improve it. Our analytics provider does not set cookies, does not build a profile of you, and does not follow you across other websites. It records aggregate information such as which pages were visited, the country a visit came from, and the type of device or browser used.

We do not process payments and do not collect or store any payment or card information. Any ticket purchase happens on a third-party ticketing website linked from an event, under that provider's terms.

Some of our service providers may store and process information on servers located outside Aruba. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

7. Data Retention

We keep your organizer profile and the events you created for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time through your account settings; on deletion we remove your organizer profile and the events you created, except where we are required to retain certain information by law. Public event content may persist in caches or search indexes for a period after removal.

8. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. You can review and update much of your information from your dashboard and account settings, or contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
